Need a quick smile from Facebook this week? A teacher friend reported that she was busy in another room when she heard her 3-year-old granddaughter YELL from the living room… “JESUS!”
Teacher friend immediately called out — “Madison, we do NOT use Jesus’ name that way!”
Madison chimed back meekly, “Okay… but but but… Baby Jesus just fell out of his manger… onto the hard FLOOR, and the angel was checking on him!”
Teacher friend called back, “Oh. Carry on!” 🙂
Ahhh… the innocence and imagination of our littles ones! Gotta love ’em — AND this wonderful season of life!
Speaking of Christmas
Isn’t it getting harder to pull off some meaningful instruction during these busy December days? Never fear — I’ve spruced up an old holiday favorite this week! It’s a Christmas library lesson on Big 6. Available on TPT… you just project — read — and discuss.
RESOURCE OVERVIEW — It seems that Santa has had a big problem pop up concerning his gift delivery plans. There are SO MANY good boys and girls this year! (Like seriously… more than EVER before.) How in the world will Santa get so many extra gifts delivered in time? Well…when he works through the Big 6 research steps, he’s able to problem solve, and finally to create a Plan B that saves Christmas… of course!
For this original story, I included a slide-by-slide script again — just like I did with the Thanksgiving Big 6 story. The script makes it so easy to project the slides and tell the story while pulling the kids in for a lively discussion. They may surprise you with their problem-solving ideas!
Finally, because it IS Christmas after all… I’ve included a few easy-prep library centers as well. I’m hoping those centers will foster a bit of calmness in your library as you tackle December book exchange times!
Curious to see a bit more concerning my resource? Sure — just check out the preview on TPT.
