Looking for TpT Library Resources?
TpT library resources can save time and pep up stale library programs. However, there’s a sea of resources out there. Then again, TpT does cover everything from preschool ABCs to high school calculus! So, how do you locate the TpT library resources that you really need?
Believe me… TpT library curriculum authors are trying to help. Most of us practice SEO, or search engine optimization. This means we carefully wordsmith our titles and descriptions with targeted keywords to help you find all the library things!
Search Bar Options and TpT Library Resources
TpT is also trying to help you with their new search bar upgrade, but the jury’s still out on how effective it has been for school library customers. The goal is to narrow your search by Grade, Subject and even Price. However, “library” is not a specific choice anywhere. Specialty is a choice – but that category encompasses a LOT of resources in art, music, P.E., gifted education, technology, counseling, and so on.
Targeting TpT Library Resources
Of course, YOU can optimally affect your own “search and find” success by typing the word “library” in front of any topic you need. This may include using descriptive phrases like:
- Library Bulletin Board
- Library Behavior Management
- September Library Lesson
- Fall Library Decor
- Library Decor Camping
Phrases like these work with the search engine to target TpT library resources that were created just for our particular curriculum, classroom management, and decorating needs.
Save Time with a Sort
After entering your keywords, sort your results by Relevance, Rating, Price, or Most Recent. The sorting tool is found at the top of the results list. Also, look over to the left. There, you can click on a variety of categories to further refine your browsing results. Options include Format, Grades, and even Resource Types, like lessons, centers, and activities.
The “Follow Me” Option
Once you’ve located TpT library resources that really fit your needs and your style, follow those TpT sellers. “Follow Me” stars are located near each store name. Clicking a star means you’re notified when your favorite librarians release a new product. Plus, you may get occasional TpT inbox news directly from them about updated resources, freebies, sales, and other special deals.
TpT Library Resources for the Win
Hopefully, these tips will help you search and find the TpT library resources that you need quickly — and with more targeted results to truly meet your students’ needs!

This is great advice, Julie! I hope that someday ‘LIBRARY’ is a subject for search at TPT. I love how you explained that typing Library at the beginning of the topical search terms will help optimize the search for our librarian friends. There are sooooo many great library sellers on the TpT platform.
