Well, this blog and my little TpT store have taken off like a pack of tired turtles, BUT... it's O.K.A.Y.! A little progress is better than none. I have eight products in my store as of tonight... and I feel so happy, you would think I had 88 products ready to go! (I do have 5 more that are close! YAY!) I think I needed this creative outlet in my life. It feels good, and I'm leaving the outcome (and any possible income) up to my heavenly Father. I'm just re-creating lessons that I love and makin' 'em prettier before posting! HA! Love me some clipart, fonts, and stock photos! I decided to make a leap tonight and actually post something on Facebook about the TpT CyberMonday/Tuesday sale... and I even invited a few friends to take a look. Baby steps. Baby steps are good. We had a great Thanksgiving -- peaceful, fun, yummy -- hope you did, too! John took us to see some good movies, and we helped him become a Star Wars Jedi via a new augmented reality device that was pretty cool. Zman ... Keep Reading...
New Appreciation for TpT
Mercy. I have purchased TONS of wonderful, engaging, helpful resources from Teachers Pay Teachers over the years, but now that I'm on the other side of the fence... whew. Talk about a learning curve!! There has been so much information to soak up -- and so much to buy (new fonts, clip art, borders, frames, licenses, a better monitor, a bigger bottle of Advil...) and there has been SO MUCH to learn about, and practice, and then put into place behind the scenes! (And okay, I'm loving every minute of it.) A BIG shout-out to my amazing husband who has been cheering me on and helping me get my new "Tpt Cave" all set up and ready to roll... and within sight of the Hallmark Channel... you can't beat that! Another big shout-out to so many current TpT rock stars who offer their assistance to newbies like me for FREE! I love the collaborative spirit of TpT sellers... Laura Santos especially! So, with no further ado... I'm launched -- with two whole products and a little chunk of my heart. ... Keep Reading...
Need an idea?
Everyone says it... because it's TRUE... "Doesn't summer seem to fly after the Fourth of July?" Well, yes. Yes, it does, and "school brain" has taken me by storm over the past few days. (I had the first "school dream" last night, too -- hence the dark photo!) I tried to squelch "school brain syndrome" by organizing the folders and files on my favorite USB (flash) drive. It seemed like such an innocent, "yeah...I-can-do-this-and-still-watch-taped-Fixer-Uppers-in-the-middle-of-the-night" kind of productivity. You know -- to nudge me back to warp speed.Then...I started quietly digging around for my flash drive...and I still can't find it. I know it's here somewhere. It's hiding, but the other eight were fun to peek back at... I found lots of family photos, recipes, and some lesson ideas for the new TpT store. It's been an interesting few days getting that all set up. I wasn't sure exactly what to do. So, I started by checking all my clipart TOUs (Terms of Use) to see which ones will ... Keep Reading...
Something New
Even a 50-something gal needs little adventures from time to time, and I've decided I need several! As part of my new adventures collection... I decided to set up a TeachersPayTeachers store, and I've been having a lot of fun in the planning stages! You see, I've been a teacher for 32 years -- about 24 of those in the LMC, and I have a LOT of lessons to share. I had a lot of fun creating those lessons and buying lesson materials -- many of them before the days of TpT, by the way. So, I'm polishing them up and letting them fly. If you need something new to put a sparkle in your teacher eyes this fall... come see me over at That Library Girl -- link below. I'm starting out with a freebie product to go with the beloved story, Library Lion!https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Store/That-Library-Girl ... Keep Reading...
