TEACHING EXPERIENCE
I’m finishing year 33 as an educator — and 25 of those years have been spent in a variety of beautiful, cozy, K-8 library media centers. My classroom experience includes Montessori preschool (3 and 4 year olds) and public school kindergarten and first grade. I’ve been a public school librarian at the elementary, intermediate, and middle school levels.
MY TEACHING PHILOSOPHY
Work hard/pray hard, read a lot, smile a lot, hug a lot…and try to have a little fun, too!
SHINING TEACHER MOMENTS
Two of my schools have given me the honor of being their “Teacher of the Year,” and in 2005, I earned my National Board for Professional Teaching Certification in Library Media. These were highlights of my career for sure!
